- Chain used in your project
- Scrap piece of wire

- Bent nose pliers
- Flush cutters
Cut one piece of chain the length you want and string it on a straight head pin or piece of wire.
Take the long piece of chain and hang it next to the cut piece. "Eyeball" which link on the long chain lines up with the last link on the short chain. Cut the long chain so it matches the length of the short one.
Continue doing this until you have all your lengths of chain cut.
